Every 6 mths, Our Church holds a General Conference that is broadcast to many nations and streamed live in over 100 languages. It is a time where every church member has the opportunity to listen to our leaders speak in real time. Many times the lessons and instruction are nothing new... things we know that we should be doing in our daily lives already. However, it is a great time to "re-boot" if you will... and remind ourselves of what is Because of Conference, we stayed close to home. I really wanted to try to watch every session in its entirety with Josh. We played Candyland, cleaned a little and colored while our leaders spoke in the background. A few friends forwarded me this packet which Josh 'sort of' finished. One of the exercises was to color the ties of each leader as seen below. Conference was great and I am so grateful I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of LatterDay Saints. Amazing how ~8 years fly by. As I temporize my blog, I will leave it at this.... I am proud to be a Mormon.
Time in between Conference was spent running errands preparing for some events to come, getting a jog in and going to some local parks. Josh loves "meeting new friends" at the parks. It is quite funny to see 4 year olds have 'small talk.'
J: "Hi, my name is Josh"
Other child: "hi, my name is ---"
J: "I'm four and i think i am taller than you"
Other child: " I'm five.. let's play tag."
J: "OK"
Other child: "OK"
Very quick, to the point... and unfiltered. Here is a pic of us with our "new to us" car. Scott thought we should have one in case we don't keep this more than 10 days! :)
